Review: GN Arms Type E + Gundam Exia (TransAm Mode) 1/144 HG

A very nice kit indeed, well made and nice detail even though it is just a HG scale model. The Exia TransAm is just the same as ordinary HG Exia Gundam, the only difference is the GN Cable which is white in colour for Exia has turned into red in colour for the TransAm mode, and so do the sticker provided for all the patches all around the model, all in TransAm design. You’ll need to do some painting work: gray (GN Drive, leg, shield, weapons), white (GN shield), red (waist) & yellow (cheek and chest).the assembly process is simple and since I made Gundam Astraea from Gundam Exia HG model before, so everything went on smoothly for me.

Next, the GN Arms. Overall you just need to snap them up and it will be done, just a few place you’ll need to take care of regarding the painting works if you don’t wish to use the sticker provided. White and gray colours are needed to complete the kit to the correct colour scheme. Of course you may paint it as you like, but I prefer to keep them original.

A stand is provided for you to pose the GN Arms and Gundam Exia TransAm nicely. Since this HG kit is quite big in size, I do suggest you guys to try and get some detail sticker and decorate the GN Arms as I did. It looks as if is a Master Grade model! 😛

  1. This is one of the best kit, but the pricing is rather high because of GN-Arms.

Too bad, as I hear GN-Arms cannot be moved in different photo angle.

  2. Well, it is indeed hard to take picture of this kit as it is so big… if you want to snap a full view of different angle, Exia will end up being very small and unnoticeable. Anyway, it is indeed a nice kit.
